In order to switch the nervousness to goose bumps here are a couple of great calls from Hall of Famer Vin Scully. We found out that Vin will most likely be calling the Dodger games for one more year before retirement. Now is as good a time as any to count our blessings and revel in the memories.

Unfortunately, the only video I can find is this replication of the 4+1 game from Sept. 18, 2006 (did I ever tell you about that game I went to?). The audio is the real call from Vinny.

And the greatest of them all. Kirk Gibson’s 1988 World Series heroics. Check out what has become a signature Scully move: listen to how long he stays silent and lets the crowd roar before finally stating that now famous line, “In a season that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened.”
